SOUTHEND United defender John White has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle ligament injury.
White was carried off with the injury at Peterborough United on Saturday after an attempted tackle on Posh striker Jack Marriott.
And White - who has made 27 appearances so far this season - will now be out until mid-March.
Writing on Instagram White said: "I would like to reiterate my thanks for all the kind messages of support I've received.
"Obviously gutted to have some time on the sidelines but it could have been so much worse."
