SOUTHEND United’s League One clash against Walsall is set to go ahead at Roots Hall this afternoon – as things stands.
Shrimpers supporters helped clear the pitch of snow early this morning.
And a club spokesman confirmed the match will be played unless conditions worsen between now and 3pm.
“Today’s referee Charles Breakspear has been down to Roots Hall and is happy with the state of the pitch,” said the spokesman.
“As things stand the game is on.
