SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond feels a lack of variation is hurting the Shrimpers going forward.

Blues have netted just four goals in their six League One outings so far this season.

And Bond believes the forwards at his disposal are all too similar.

“We have strikers but none of them really want to get into the box,” said Bond.

“They’re more second strikers and we don’t get in the box enough.

“Part of that might be the reason we don’t enough goals.”
