NEIL Harris is not in the running to be Southend United’s next manager, Echosport understands.
The former Shrimpers striker stepped down from his role as Millwall boss yesterday after more than four years in charge of the Lions.
However, Harris is understood to want a break from football before considering a return to the dug-out.
Harris, who lives in Eastwood, grew up supporting Blues and also finished his playing career at Roots Hall.
