I FEEL really sorry for the West Ham United supporters that travelled to Swansea City on Saturday.

It was such a big game for the Hammers, but they were awful and lost 4-1.

I think it was arguably the worst performance of the season.

The Hammers fans travelled to Wales in their numbers despite the awful conditions because of the Beast from the East, but the players put in no effort at all.

If performances like that continue, there will be discontent in the stands and West Ham will be in serious danger of suffering relegation.

It was also really disappointing to see only a handful of players go over to the fans after the game.

David Moyes and every single one of the players should have shown their appreciation for the vast amount of supporters that went to the game.

The fans travelled through the snow to get to the Liberty Stadium, but they weren’t rewarded with a decent display or good result.

Those supporters would have paid hundreds of pounds to go and watch their team, hoping to see West Ham pick up three valuable points and put in a good performance.

Instead, they saw their side beaten by a team also fighting to stay in the Premier League and play poorly.

Going over to the fans and showing their appreciation for the support was the least the players could have done after the game.

In my playing days, I always used to applaud the supporters because they are the people that keep the club going.

It shows respect and players always used to be told to go over and clap the fans - not that you should ever need to be told.

West Ham supporters always sell out the London Stadium and their away allocations, and not going over to applaud the fans is disrespectful, in my opinion.

Now West Ham have two big games coming up against Burnley and Southampton - with both at home. But beating Burnley will not be easy as they’re a good side.
