WEST Ham United grabbed a fantastic point at Chelsea yesterday.

Javier Hernandez came off the bench to equalise after Cesar Azpilicueta gave Chelsea a first half lead at Stamford Bridge.

The 1-1 draw pulls the Hammers further away from the Premier League’s relegation zone and I thought it was well deserved.

Chelsea did not create many clear-cut opportunities, while we also had our moments going forward.

One player who has come in for a lot of criticism this season is Joe Hart, but he pulled off two top saves yesterday.

Since coming back into the team, he has been excellent and hardly put a foot wrong.

He looked commanding and assured at Chelsea.

There is no doubting that he is a good goalkeeper, but maybe the England situation is worrying him.

He will be aiming to go to the World Cup in the summer, but it looks as though he has fallen down the England pecking order and there are even doubts as to whether he will make Gareth Southgate’s squad for Russia.

Hart will now be looking at this as a big opportunity for him. He is back in the West Ham team and if he picks up a few clean sheets between now and the end of the season, he is more than likely going to be on the plane to the World Cup.

Marko Arnautovic also impressed in the draw.

He was immense going forward and was important defensively in the final moments.

Arnautovic gives West Ham a different outlet to the other strikers David Moyes has at his disposal.

He is strong, quick, aggressive and he’s played so well since being transformed into a striker.

It was his brilliant pull-back that set up Hernandez for the equaliser and it was a good decision for Moyes to bring him off the bench.

He’s a natural goalscorer and it was a good goal.

West Ham face struggling Stoke City at the London Stadium next, which is a massive game.
