IT’S fantastic that West Ham United ensured they will play Premier League football next season by beating Leicester City.

Joao Mario and Mark Noble got the goals in a 2-0 win at the King Power Stadium and the Hammers are now mathematically safe.

Noble scored a screamer and I’m pleased because he has unfairly been made a scapegoat at times this term.

Now there is no need to panic when West Ham play Manchester United and Everton in their final two games of the campaign.

David Moyes was given the task of keeping the club in the top flight when he replaced Slaven Bilic as manager in October and he has done that.

And although some believe Moyes should be offered a new contract beyond the summer after keeping West Ham in the Premier League, I would be inclined to look elsewhere.

He got off to a good start and at that stage a lot of people would have been saying he deserves a new deal.

Although he has done alright overall, I think Moyes has been tactically woeful recently.

He improved the players’ fitness and organisation, but I do not think he has done enough to keep the job.

I would like to see Rafa Benitez take over at the London Stadium.

Benitez has done a brilliant job wherever he has gone and I think there is a good chance that West Ham would be able to tempt him away from Newcastle United in the summer.

He wanted to bring Newcastle back up to the Premier League and keep them there, which he has done, so Benitez may feel that now is the right time to leave St James’ Park.

If West Ham can offer Benitez a big budget, I think he would be really interested in taking over because he will not get money at Newcastle with Mike Ashley still in charge of the club.

Benitez would attract top players because of his success wherever he has gone, so I think he would be a good appointment and the supporters would back the owners.
