KIERON Dyer's on-off move from Newcastle United to West Ham is now back on after talks re-started between the two clubs.

The England winger was set to join the Hammers after agreeing terms with the East Enders a fortnight ago, only for the move to be scuppered at the eleventh hour.

It is believed that the deal collapsed after Newcastle upped their asking price from £6million to £8million and the Irons refused to increase their original offer of £5million up front and a further £1million based on appearances.

However, former Ipswich Town star Dyer has expressed a desire to move closer to his family, who still live in Suffolk, and Magpies boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed that the 28-year-old will leave the club soon.

The Hammers are now reportedly willing to pay the whole £6million up front for the player, but Newcastle are holding out for closer to £8million and negotiations may take some time to be completed.

Should Dyer complete his switch from St James' Park to Upton Park, he would be re-united with former Newcastle team-mates Scott Parker and Lee Bowyer, with whom he had a famous on-pitch bust-up during a Premier League match against Aston Villa in April 2005.

Meanwhile, Dyer's current Toon colleague Nolberto Solano has expressed his desire to join him at the Boleyn Ground.

Despite being a popular figure on Tyneside, the 32-year-old winger has expressed a wish to join his estranged wife and children in the capital.

The Peruvian international said: "A decision will be made in the next couple of days. It's up to the two clubs but I want to go to London because my wife and two children have moved there.

"Clubs in Spain also want me but I won't go there, I will only leave Newcastle to go to London.

"My wife and I are separated and I miss my children. Sometimes you have to out your family first."

As with Dyer, Allardyce is believed to have accepted that Solano will leave the club in the near future.
