WEST Ham could share Upton Park with fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur for two seasons, it has been revealed.

The North London club wants to re-develop its White Hart Lane home, adding 16,000 extra seats to take the capacity up to around 52,000.

However, Spurs would be unable to use the stadium during the work, rendering them homeless for up to two seasons.

Representatives from the club have already spoken to the Hammers about the possibility of playing lower profile matches at the Boleyn Ground, while high profile games could be played at Wembley Stadium or another ground outside London.

One possible spanner in the works could be the fact that West Ham are themselves planning to move to a new 60,000-capacity home near West Ham Underground station before the 2012 Olympic Games.
