HUNDREDS of runners will be put through their paces when they compete in the Leigh Striders 10k Road Race on Sunday.
The first ever event garnered 350 participants in 2009, but up to 650 entrants will be involved in this year’s event.
The Leigh 10k, which was awarded with the Howard Williams Trophy for the best road race in Essex in 2013, will get underway at 9:30am at the Golf Driving Range behind Leigh Rail Station.
Runners will then head towards Chalkwell, before returning to Leigh.
Advance entry costs £16 for those who are UKA affiliated and £18 for those that are not.
Entry on the day, if the event has not already sold out, costs £18.
