Furtherwick Park School, A Specialist College for the Media Arts have been presented with The Inclusion Quality Mark Award. This national award is given to schools that ensure that all students have a chance to be involved and succeed in school. After two days in February of looking at evidence and meeting parents, students and staff the assessor wrote a report which highlighted “the caring and supportive learning environment”, the “resourceful leadership and management” and “student’s personal development and well being”.

In March, Furtherwick Park School heard from the judgement panel that they had been successful in achieving the Inclusion Quality Mark and have been presented with an impressive plaque in recognition of this achievement.

Mr Kaufman, Assistant Headteacher, said “We are especially proud to be awarded the Quality Mark, because it demonstrates that every child really does matter in our school. The award is down to the hard work of our students, staff, parents and community partners”.

Mrs Davies, SENCO said “We are very proud of the inclusive community that we have achieved at Furtherwick Park. This was clearly noticed by the assessor and is frequently commented on by other visitors to the school”.
