Echo: Catch it, bin it, then kill it Catch it, bin it, then kill it

THE Basildon Clinical Commissioning Group is backing the national Catch it. Bin it. Kill it health campaign to stop the spread of flu this winter.

Seasonal flu kills 8,000 people a year across the UK.

Executive nurse Lisa Allen, said: “Following these simple steps makes a huge difference in the fight against common colds, and the more serious flu virus.

It’s such an easy thing to do but it will help to ensure you and your family stay safe and well this winter.”

Ill residents who are not needing emergency help are urged to call the NHS on 111 or visit getwellessex.com to use a symptom checker to find the appropriate services to help.
