JEWELLERY and watches, thought to be a thief’s booty, were discovered during a house search.

Police uncovered a stash of jewellery, including two Rolex watches, when they looked around a Southend house on April 30.

Officers are now trying to reunite the owners with their items.

Anyone who recognises them should call Ben Broderick at Southend CID on 101.

During the police investigation two men, aged 21 from Galleywood and 23 from Southend were arrested and charged with burgling a house in Leigh on April 30.

They appeared at Southend Magistrates Court on May 2.

Rolex watches can be traced if they were bought honestly in the first place .... but surely anyone having a rolex stolen would have reported it but the police checked their records ... the most obvious thing to do?

If it hasn't been reported perhaps it is dodgy anyway?
