POLICE are offering a £1,000 reward for information on a wanted man.

Officers from Essex Police and Sussex Police have teamed up to track down Simon Knights, 38, who is believed to have carried out a spate of burglaries.

He has friends in both Southend and Basildon, and police believe he could be staying in either town.

Four houses in Barnham, West Sussex, were broken into on Monday, June 16, and jewellery was stolen.

Another attempted burglary took place in the area on the same day.

On Thursday, June 19, a house in Burgess Hill, East Sussex, was burgled and several hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery was taken.

Knights is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and has ginger hair.

A £1,000 reward is being offered, subject to his arrest and conviction for one or more of the offences.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the West Sussex Priority Crime Team on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

£1000 for information & conviction - he will probably only get community service & then he will sue you for breaching his human rights. The law in this country is laughable.

That's right, you should make yourself angry about your Nostradamus style 'probablies' and 'reckons'. Have you ever seen the Self Righteous Brothers on Harry Enfield?

Cheap answer to burglary. The birch. It hurts like hell, and he would remember it forever, and he doesn't need to be put in prison incurring all the added costs. Result.
