A man is appearing before magistrates accused of murdering a man on Southend seafront.
Bardhyl Hazir, 27, is charged with killing Harpal Sumon, 26, of Maidenhead, Berkshire.
It follows an incident outside the Wimpy restaurant in Marine Parade, Southend, at around 1.50am on Saturday.
Harpal's brother, Harpreet, suffered a knife injury and is being treated at Southend Hospital.
Hazir was due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court today.
