COLCHESTER’S very own radio theatre company, I Hear Voices, returns to the Colchester Arts Centre..

Their latest show is called the Greatermass Experiment and like previous productions, it will feature gags, double entendres and enough crazy sound effects to possibly make the Goons swoon.

Regular listeners to I Hear Voices Theatre Company will be well acquainted with the espionage exploits of Special Security Service Agent Bentley Strangetrousers, but what they might not know about is the double life led by the scientists of his paymasters, MI6 and Three Quarters and, in particular, its Research and Development Department.

By day, Professors Lessermass and Littlewoman are ordinary, unassuming boffins, providing cutting-edge gizmos and gadgets to British secret agents, but after they are seconded to the mysterious Miss Pencilskirt, a far stranger and infinitely more terrifying mission awaits.

Written and performed by I Hear Voices founders Damien Bell and Darren Gooding, the cast also featuresMary Bollan, Sara Jane Derrick and David Hughes.

The show runs at the Church Street venue tomorrow (Tuesday, May 6) from 8pm and as with previous productions will be recorded live for a podcast which will be available via the company’s website, ihearvoices.co.uk Tickets for the show cost £6, and are available by calling the box office on 01206 500900.
