LETTING your hair down at a stomping show seems as good a way as any to lose the Christmas stodge.
That’s what Vampires Rock is encouraging you to do, billing itself as “so good for you it should be available on prescription”.
Steve Steinman stars as the evil Baron Von Rockula in this classic rock musical and the show is packed full of singers, dancers, and a live band.
The show, at the Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff, on Saturday January 31, aims to get people dancing in the aisles, so go with a willingness to let your hair down.
Expect to hear anthems such as We Will Rock You, Bat Out of Hell, Highway to Hell, Since You’ve Been Gone, Sweet Child of Mine, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Devil Gate Drive, I Love Rock n Roll and Poison.
The story is set around the baron, owner of the Live and Let Die club. In search of a new bride, he must convince the unsuspecting Pandora, who auditions for the new singing position, to cross over to the dark side and live for ever in rock ’n’ roll hell.
Tickets are available via southendtheatres.org.uk or by calling the box office on 01702 351135. Prices start at £21.50.
