THE Fishermen's Chapel in Leigh is going to be filled with "electronic walls of noise" this Friday, thanks to a provocative one-off performance between artists Rorquals (Rob Mells) and Dead Circuits (Paul Blackburn).

The pair of Southend based musicians, who may be better known for being in bands such as Black Droid (Mells) or under the moniker Spacecat (Blackburn) will both be performing individual debut live performances in their new guises.

Following their sets, they will put on a completely improvised collaboration.

Paul said they will be utilising amplified guitars and analog synths, filling the building with "abrasive drones, aggressive feedback, sonic frequencies and electronic walls of noise alongside sparse and subtle accents of abstraction and melody".

The aim, they say, is "to give listeners a truly individual journey through experimental music".

It all takes place at the chapel in New Road, Leigh, from 8pm until 11pm.

Admission is £3.

Ear plugs are advised for anyone sensitive to the expected loud volume.
