THEY’RE celebrating 50 years since their first single releases, and the Solid Silver Sixties show is back at the Cliffs Pavilion to mark the occasion.

The Searchers, the Merseybeats, Dave Berry and Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders all released their debut singles in 1963, the same year Kennedy was shot and the Great Train Robbery took place.

So if you remember where you were when you heard the news of the huge events, you’re in for a treat when the original touring Sixties show, featuring original Searchers’ singer Mike Pender, Dave Berry, Wayne Fontana, Sixties tribute act New Amen Corner and special guests the Merseybeats, comes to the Cliffs on April 20.

The show itself is in its 28th year, proving that the music never goes out of fashion, and still has a big following of fans keen to see the top names perform once again.

The Solid Silver Sixties Show, Cliffs Pavilion, Station Road, Westcliff, April 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets £22.50-£26.50, 01702 351135
