Cherie French, 44, of Castle Road, Benfleet, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath at the roadside in Southend on January 5 this year. She was fined £235, banned from driving for 20-months and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £23 victim surcharge.

Tony Hawkins, 42, of Eagle Way, Shoebury, pleaded guilty to posessing cannabis, cultivating cannabis, causing harassment, alarm or distress, resisting a police constable. The offences happened in January and February this year. He was fined £110 and ordered to pay £50 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

David Stoner, 64, of Jackdaw Close, Shoebury, admitted driving without due care and attention on Elm Road, Shoebury on August 22 last year. He was fined £150, given four penalty points and was ordered to pay £85 costsd and a £15 victim surcharge.

Terry Leeks, 38, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft. He stole food and cleaning products from the Co-Op and BP garage in Basildon in January and February this year. He was ordered to attend probation appointments for 12-months and was ordered to pay £75 compensation.

Luminita Manea, 38, of no fixed address, admitted posessing an article for use in connection with theft. She was caught with a foil-lined bag in Basildon on February 9 this year. She was given a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

Dannie Churchman, 22, of Hampton Gardens, Southend, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was caught driving on Oakhurst Road, Southend on January 26 this year. He was fined £100, banned from driving for 12-months was ordered to pay £20 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Erik Kucer, 32, of Chancellor Road, Southend, admitted theft. He stole washing up liquid worth £25 from the Co-Op in Southend on January 9 this year. He was ordered to attend probation appointments for 12-months, to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work and to pay £25 compensation.

Christopher Polley, 30, of Delaware Road, Shoebury, pleaded guilty to breaching a disqualification to own animals and possessing cannabis. Mr Polley was banned from keeping animals in 2008 but in September last year he was found with two dogs, a python and a lizard at his home. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £40 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Elizebeth Spooner, 49, of Central Wall Road, Canvey, admitted driving while under the influence of alcohol. She was caught driving on January 24 this year on London Road, Hadleigh with 109mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35mcg. She was banned from driving for 24-months, ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work and to pay £20 costs and £60 victim surcharge.
