IT’S a typically American sound direct from the Mersea marshes.
That’s what gig-goers can expect from the Flat Mountain Family this weekend at the Bull, in Colchester.
The four-piece are made-up of three of the members who make-up one of Colchester most popular long-running bands, Saltdog.
Playing everything from classic bluegrass to modern hits with a brilliant bluegrass twist, this quartet of Dub Sherwood on banjo, Andy Sherwood on mandolin and vocals, Dan Peachey on guitar, and Dan West on the double bass, have only been together for just over a year but are already a popular draw on the local music scene.
They play the main bar at the Bull in Colchester’s Crouch Street, from 7.15pm.
Entry is free.
