A man has been found dead in an abandoned car in Hullbridge this morning.
Police have confirmed they were called to Burlington Gardens, off Lower Road, shortly after 9am this morning after a report of a man's body in an abandoned car.
Officers attended the scene and found an abandoned Mazda 3, with the man's body inside.
Ambulance crews attended and fire crews were called to the scene at 9.22am, with two crews from Rayleigh Weir and one from South Woodham Ferrers attending.
The body was reported by a member of Rochford District Council's street scene officers.
Police are reporting no suspicious circumstances involved in the man's death and a coroner's inquest will be opened once post mortem examinations and formal identification procedures have been completed.
The council will provide support to the member of staff concerned.
