Ryan Clarke, 24, of Komberg Crescent, Canvey, admitted possession of class A drugs. On January 2 he was caught with 9.3g of cocaine in Basildon. He was handed a community order and must attend the Thinking Skills programme for 19 days. He was also fined £100, ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

Samuel Craig, 22, of Vange Hill Drive, Basildon, admitted breaching an order made by the Magistrates’ Court. He failed to attend probation appointments on November 2 and November 9, 2013. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £50 costs.

Holly Fox, 19, of Ryedene Place, Vange, admitted assault and threatening behaviour. On September 1 Fox threatened a woman then beat her. Fox was fined £110, ordered to pay £25 compensation and to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Ross Peachey, 20, of Bostock Close, Laindon, admitted possession of drugs. On August 11, he was caught with cocaine and cannabis. Peachey was fined £110, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and to pay £85 court costs.

Michael Hammond, 39, of Shepeshall, Laindon, admitted theft. Between December 30 and January 2 he stole a Dyson hot and cool fan from Asda at the Eastgate Centre in Basildon. He was fined £100, ordered to pay £350 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.

Dmitrijs Semelis, 23, of Bostocke Close, Laindon, admitted theft. Between December 21 and January 2, he stole cosmetics from Boots Pharmacy and Lloyds Pharmacy in Basildon. He also stole meat from the Co-op and food from BP, in Roundacre. He was handed a community order and must attend a drugs rehabilitation course. He must also pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Daniel Jacobs, 25, of Mynchens, Basildon, admitted possession of a bladed article. He had a 15cm knife with a serrated blade in Wickhay, Laindon, on New Year’s Eve. He was handed a community order with a four-month curfew between 7pm and 7am. each day. He must also pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Daniel Branard, 25, of Mill Green Place, Pitsea, was found guilty of fare dodging. On October 16 he travelled between Benfleet and Basildon without a ticket. When he was stopped by a ticket inspector he refused to give his name or address. He was fined £100, ordered to pay £2.35 compensation,will have to pay £65 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Marc Wibberley, 36, of Wellington Road, Tilbury, admitted criminal damage. On Boxing Day he damaged a glass panel of a front door belonging to Thurrock Council. He was fined £73, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and to pay £85 court costs.
