A PEDESTRIAN was killed on the A127 in Wickford.
The man died after being struck by a silver Seat Ibiza 16 on the westbound carriageway of the A127 opposite the Shell petrol station at 10pm on Sunday, February.
It is believed he was attempting to cross the road.
The man, who is believed to be in his 30s and who lived locally, was certified dead at the scene.
The 47-year-old male car driver was taken to Basildon Hospital after sustaining minor facial injuries. He was later discharged and is recovering from shock at his home in Southend.
A section of the road was closed until 5.30am this morning (Monday) while forensic collision investigators carried out their enquiries.
