Echo: Car and lorry crash Car and lorry crash

LONG delays have hit the A127 after a car and lorry crashed.

Police, firefighters and ambulances were called to Rayleigh Weir, London-bound, following the smash, at 2.50pm.

Essex Police said a woman sitting in the passenger side of the car was unable to get out because of the glass, which had smashed following the impact with the lorry.

The spokesperson said no one was thought to be seriously injured.

Part of the road is blocked with traffic in both directions.

Oh how insensitive was that??!!! More a case of a lorry driver not paying attention to the road and not using his mirrors! We witnessed the accident and are just glad the party in the car got out of the car safely in the end!
