A ROBBER tried to steal a man’s money in Rayleigh.

The 39-year-old was pushed from behind through a doorway near the communal area of flats near the Wing Wah takeaway on Eastwood Road.

The victim received cuts and bruises and nothing was taken from him. The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, about 5ft 10ins tall and of a strong build.

Anyone who has information about the incident, which happened around 6.30pm on April 15, is asked to call Dc Kirsty Morgan at Southend CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
