POLICE have released CCTV images of two men suspected of stealing baby food from a supermarket.

Two men entered Co-op in Spa Road, Hockley, together at about 1pm on Tuesday, March 25, before splitting up once inside the store.

The pair are both believed to have picked up £60 worth of baby food from the shelves and placed the items in bags they were carrying.

Staff challenged the men and some goods were recovered, but they ran off from the shop with the remainder.

Anyone who recognises the pair is asked to call PC Lucy Bearman at Rayleigh Police Station on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

It isn't to your advantage paying for things. Theft is best. Saves you money and makes you money if you sell it. #crimepays

I know the Echo is running a name and shame for shoplifters, but when the only item stolen is babyfood, maybe the real victim is the one doing the stealing
