West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green has called on the struggling Irons to rediscover the form they showed against Arsenal and Manchester United in tomorrow's crunch Premiership clash with Fulham.

Green believes the Hammers' victories over the two giants proves the club has the quality to beat relegation -despite the fact Alan Curbishley's side is in the bottom three.

While Arsenal and United have both left Upton Park with nothing, it is West Ham's mediocre home form that has put them in real danger of dropping into the Championship.

Reading, Wigan, Portsmouth and Manchester City have all left East London with maximum points, while Curbishley's men have also lost nine of their eleven away matches this season.

And Green is adamant that the Irons must start beating the Premiership's so-called lesser lights if they are to survive.

"I think the Arsenal and Manchester United games at Upton Park showed what we can do," the Hammers goalkeeper said.

"Those results highlight the potential of the players, the depth of the squad and the quality in this team, not just to the outside world but to ourselves as well.

"West Ham showed that week in, week out last season but for some reason it is only coming in flashes this time round.

"It is just a case of taking those performances against the bigger teams and doing well against the slightly lesser sides also.

"We cannot put our finger on why we seem to play better against the bigger teams.

"As players we put the same effort into every game we go into, no matter who we are playing."
