A SCHOOL is improving after inspectors told it to shape up.

Ofsted revisited Hadleigh Infant and Nursery School after describing it earlier this year as “requiring improvement”.

Teaching and leadership have improved.

Teachers and assistants have been given training and Ofsted said standards were being raised, with more students now at the expected level of learning.

Inspectors also praised teachers’ marking, although the officials said marking of maths could improve further.

Ofsted said governors were effectively keeping up pressure for the school to dramatically improve. A report said further inspections may be carried out.
