A POPULAR Southend burger bar is on track to open a second diner and cocktail bar in the heart of Leigh next month.
Henry Burgess, owner of Henry Burgers, in Southend’s Market Place, is set to open in the former Louis XIV bar, in Leigh Broadway, by the second week of July.
Work to transform the venue into an American-style diner and cocktail bar with a continental feel, is a little behind schedule, but there have been no major setbacks.
Mr Burgess said: “The renovation has taken us a little bit longer than expected and we’re busy hiring and training staff, but it is all going well.”
The new venue will have space for 80 to 100 people eating at any one time, with a bar and further seating on the first floor. It will be open seven days a week, serving
