BEAUTIFUL gardens will be open to the public to raise money for charity.

Canvey Island Town Council is organising the fourth annual Garden Trail, including 12 different gardens across the island.

Money raised will go to Castle Point Sports Club for the Disabled, which runs sports activities for people with disabilities and illnesses at Lake ViewHall, Winter Gardens School, Canvey.

In addition to visiting the gardens, which will be open on Saturday, July 19, from 10am, plants and jams will be available for sale at some locations.

Refreshments will also be on sale at some of the gardens and cream teas will be on offer at St Nicholas Church.

Programmes costing £3 each are on sale at the town council office and St Nicholas Church. For more information, call 01268 683971.
