Burglars steal safe from newsagents

BURGLARS stole the safe from a newsagents.

Police were called to McColls at The Triangle Shops in Langdon Hills at about 1.30am on Friday.

When they arrived they found the window had been smashed and the safe had been taken.

The shop is still unclear how much cash was in the safe.

Enquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information should contact detectives at Basildon CID on 101.
