A YOUNG man was injured after a car crashed into a bollard and a 'no entry' sign.
The collision, which happened at about 10pm on Friday, saw a black Vauxhall Corsa carrying three teenagers collide with a bollard on Cambridge Road and the sign on the corner of Runwell Terrace.
The position of the car appeared to suggest it had turned the wrong way down Runwell Terrace after hitting the bollard.
The driver of the car received minor whiplash injuries and was being treated by paramedics at the scene while a young woman was being attended by police officers and paramedics nearby.
An ambulance, two paramedic cars and a police car blocked Cambridge Road from the junction on its approach to Capel Terrace, which was still closed at about 11pm.
