VICTIM Support Essex is looking to recruit volunteers to support victims of crime.

Volunteers will be required to provide emotional and practical support on a one-to-one basis.

The majority of the role is making phone calls from home and deciding if visits are necessary.

Successful volunteers will be trained and must have empathy, good listening skills and a willingness to learn. For more information, call 01268 638416.

You see groups of PSO walking the high streets but where are the community police that need to spread themselves out. How many PSO's doe one high street need, their job just entails walking up and down one street all day whilst the criminals enjoy the freedom to attack, rob and kill anywhere they like, but the high street.
