CHILDREN took part in a game of “cage football” – soccer played inside a cage – thanks to a lottery grant.

Teenagers enjoyed the free tournament in First Avenue, Canvey, which was organised by Canvey Big Local which paid for it with part of a £1million grant from the National Lottery.

Legacy XS skate park also provided bouncy castles to keep younger children entertained.

There’s still one more chance for teenagers to enjoy the football cage, this Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.
