A NURSERY manager has denied physically abusing a young child in her care.
Emma Panting, 49, who runs the Abacus Day Nursery in Orchard Avenue, Billericay, will face a Crown Crown trial in the new year.
The Echo, and other newspapers, had previously been stopped from reporting the case until today after it succesfully fought a gagging order.
The nursery manager had pleaded not guilty to one count of child cruelty, two counts of common assault and a racially aggravated section five public order offence when she appeared at Basildon Crown Court in July.
