COMMUTERS face delays following signalling problems on the c2c line.

Delays on the Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness line began at rush hour following signalling problems at West Ham and Limehouse.

The train operator took to Twitter to apologise to disgruntled passengers saying: “Very sorry indeed two signal failures near West Ham so big delays. We hate it being like this and know you do too. So sorry.”

Travellers face problems in both directions with a number of services failing to stop at all in Thurrock.

Greater Anglia is accepting c2c tickets. Tickets are also being accepted by Transport for London on reasonable routes out towards Barking and Upminster.

Network Rail fixed the problem by 7pm.

Passengers told to avoid Fenchurch Street station until around 7pm.
