A ROAD accident in Leigh caused early morning congestion as people tried and get to work.
The ambulance service were called to Cliff Road, near the junction with Hillside Crescent, at around 7.30am following a report that someone had been hit by a car.
An ambulance attended the scene and treated a woman, thought to be in her twenties, for minor injuries and she did not require hospital treatment.
The road was open again and traffic running smoothly by 8.45am.
