AN annual community festival is set to be bigger than ever, organisers say.

The Noise Arts Festival is back for its fourth year and with 26 events taking place over a week there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Organised by The Beacon at Thundersley Congregational Church from Saturday, October 25 to Sunday, November 2, visitors can enjoy a photography competition, messy play sessions, dinner in the dark, flower arranging, cupcake decorating and fireworks.

Richard Keeler, schools and community worker at Thundersley Congregational Church, said: “It’s going to be the fourth year that we’ve done it and it’s going to be the most that we have done.

“It’s a community festival and a great event where pubs, schools and the church work together.”

This year’s theme, all the fun of the fair, will see crowds entertained with a variety of performances including music, art and comedy.

Mr Keeler said: “We have always done something. It all started four years ago when we decided we really wanted to do something with the community where everyone knew it was going on.

“There will be something for everyone. One evening we have a ‘tough talk’ where former bouncers and bodyguards tell us about how their lives were turned around.

“We also have an illusionist, a fire juggler and a big project with Kingston Primary School where we will be lighting thousands of candles to create pictures.”
