CHARITY shop, Preloved Bargains, has opened in Northlands Pavement, Pitsea, raising money for Children With Cancer UK.

Owner Sam Ottey said: “One hundred per cent of our profits are going to Children With Cancer. It’s a charity that does great work, but does not get the recognition other charities do.”

The shop, which sells clothes, furniture, white goods, DVDs and books, needs volunteers and donations.

Mr Ottey and his business partner, Ryan Samson, opened the store to the public this week.

He said: “This is the first Preloved Bargains, but if things continue to go well, it could soon become a new chain of charity shops on the high street.

“We went down to Great Ormond Street Hospital and saw the amazing work Children With Cancer does and decided we should open the store.

“We are still in need of volunteers and donations, so please get in touch.”

The shop is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm, and on Saturdays until 1pm.
