Man charged with attempted rape after alley attack of girl, 9
A MAN has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl, aged nine, in an alleyway.
Steven Partridge, 22, of York Road, Southend, was arrested yesterday in Harlow in connection with the sexual assault of a primary school pupil in an alleyway connecting Park Street and Park Lane, Westcliff.
The girl was found by a member of the public who called police on Monday just before 5pm.
Partridge was today charged with attempted rape, child abduction and sexual assault.
He has been remanded in custody until he appears at Southend Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
