Staff member threatened with knife in betting shop robbery
A BETTING shop worker was threatened with a knife during a terrifying armed robbery.
The staff member at Ladbrokes, on High Street, Canvey, handed over cash from the till after a man walked into the store at about 8pm last night and demanded money.
The suspect, described as white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s and wearing black clothing, then fled the scene.
