A MOTORCYCLIST has been hospitalised after sustaining multiple serious injuries in a crash this morning.
The ambulance service was called to the junction of Maplin Way and Station Road at 7.19am.
An ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle were on scene in less than six minutes with an ambulance officer and the air ambulance also attending.
The man suffered suspected arm, leg and shoulder fractures and was taken to Southend Hospital by land ambulance.
Crashes elsewhere in south Essex are also causing travel disruption this morning.
A car and a cyclist have been involved in an incident in Ashlyns, Basildon, at the junction wil Mill Green, which is partially blocking the road.
And in Wickford the A129 Southend Road is also partially blocked by a two-vehicle smash between Hill Avenue and Highcliffe Road.
And in Southend another two-vehicle crash is causing disruption in Maplin Way, at the junction with Station Road.
The incidents were reported between 8am and 8.15pm by the Essex Traffic Control Centre but have all now been cleared.
