FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in a bedroom in Billericay.
Crews were called to a bungalow in Bootham Road at 9.36pm last night.
Firefighters from Basildon and Billericay battled the fire for just over an hour.
Crews reported the fire was deep-seated and had most likely been burning for some time under the floor boards.
They used a power saw to remove the floor boards, the fire was out by 10.42pm.
Nobody was injured.
