The dance group has been invited to perform for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on Thursday June 16 during their visit to Barking and Dagenham for the borough's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Two members of the group are from Essex and will be joining in the performance for the Queen. India Maynard-Cooney, 12, from Wickford and Alice Routledge, 14, from Basildon both attend Gable Hall Performing Arts School in Stanford-Le-Hope.

IMD Legion beat off the competition to perform in the live semi finals week of Britain's Got Talent after their audition was aired on April 25 which was the most viewed audition show of the contest.

The London based group entered the talent contest with dreams of meeting and performing for the Queen and they have now reached that aspiration.

IMD Legion began back in 2010 and was brought together by chorographer Omar Ansah-Awuah woh was later joined by Warren Gordon-Scott aka ‘Wild G’.

The group has since grown in size and reputation to become one of today's most talked about groups in the Street Dance community.
