RYLAN Clark will battle it out for first place in the Celebrity MasterChef final tonight.
The former model and television personality, who is from Stanford-le-Hope, made it through to last stage after impressing the judges with a combination of four desserts during the semi-final.
Rylan, who came fifth in the X Factor in 2012 and won Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, will compete against former EastEnders actor Scott Maslen, former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and singer and presenter Sam Nixon.
The star, who has presented This Morning, Daybreak and Big Brother, said: “I’ve just got to go for it. People think you’re taught how to cook going on MasterChef, but you’re not – it’s down to you to get your head down. I don’t expect to win. I’m just ecstatic to get this far.
Whatever happens I’ll leave with a smile on my face.”
Celebrity Masterchef will air on BBC1 at 9pm today and 8.30pm tomorrow.
During the semi-final, Judge John Torode warned Rylan not to push himself too hard as he made a selection of four sweet dishes, including chocolate and jelly and ice cream.
