There’s a mixture of “mid 20th century style” at the Rayleigh Custom Culture Show this Sunday.

Featuring music, cars and fashion from the golden age of today’s “vintage culture’, this family friendly event takes place this Sunday at The Crouch Valley Showground.

Live music is promised from local favourites Julie Jive and the Bigshots, who will be performing rock ‘n’ roll.

Also performing on stage will be the rockabilly sounds of LP and his Dirty White Bucks.

If that wasn’t enough to get your feet moving, there will also be a tent – called the Wigwam Casino –playing Sixties, Blues and Northern Soul.

The first Custom Culture Showwas launched last year at the Battlesbridge Showground by husband and wife team Steven and Emma Cooper, from Haddon Events, who are best known for running their iconic vintage events, including car shows and music events as well as antique fairs.

The event was said to be a great success with thousands of people turning out in the sunshine and lots of great vehicles on display.

Battlesbridge is currently fighting a licensing challenge so the couple had to find an alternative venue for this years show.

The Crouch Valley Showground sits just outside Rayleigh on the A1245 in between Carpenters Arms roundabout and the A127.

There are over 300 vehicles booked into the show, including classic and custom cars, bikes, scooters. The showwill feature lots of great vintage stalls selling fashion, accessories, household items and ephemera.

You can get your hair in the coolest vintage styles by Juggling Jules mobile vintage hair stylist. Children are catered for with their own area, featuring giant inflatables and games.

There will also be food stalls and a beer tent.
