Man makes off from police and force helicopter after car chase
A man has made off from police after officers tried to stop a car in Langdon Hills today.
Police attempted to stop a black Land Rover in Dry Street just after 2pm.
The vehicle failed to stop and officers on the ground pursued the vehicle for a short time.
The force helicopter was scrambled to search for the male driver after he made off on foot.
The Land Rover was abandoned in Pitsea Road. An area search was conducted but the man was not found.
