A NEW toddlers ride is set to open at Adventure Island in time for Easter - and it will replace an old classic.

Adventureville has seen the fun park’s bosses turn to their creative side and develop a unique ride which promises to take tots on a magical tour through a wacky world of fun.

It will take the place of one of the park’s oldest rides, Devil’s Creek, which is being knocked down.

Marc Miller, managing director, said: “Yes, we’re replacing Devil’s Creek, with a state-of-the-art, multi-sensory experience designed specifically to appeal to younger children.

“As we continue to develop and expand what we offer to our guests, Adventureville represents a significant development for Adventure Island.”

When asked if having the new ride justifies the demolition of one of the park’s most traditional rides, Mr Miller said: “We are always looking to improve the visitor experience and develop our attractions, we needed to make modifications in that area of the park to fit in with the new £500,000 sea defences so this seemed an ideal opportunity to make changes in that area with a completely new building and ride.

“Adventureville will offer visitors everything the Devils Creek did - plus much more!”

The entire ride is an Adventure Island creation, designed and built on site by general manager Robert Roberts, creative director Paul Clapp and their talented teams.

Mr Roberts said: “We have a tradition of building our own unique rides at Adventure Island, and we have relished the challenge of building this new one, which will offer our visitors to the fun park an experience they simply won’t be able to find anywhere else.”
