A CRASH between a car and tractor today has seen a woman cut from her vehicle and rushed to hospital.  

Firefighters and medics were called to the accident on the A130 Chelmsford bound between Rettendon and Howe Green at about 10.30am.

The woman was rushed to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment, an ambulance spokesman confirmed.

She added: "Not a lot is known about the patient’s injuries but are believed to be non- life threatening."

The road was closed but has since reopened police have confirmed. 

A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue said crews were called at 10.30am.

He continued: "A car and agricultural vehicle were involved in a collision.

"A woman who was trapped was released with cutting tools and left in the care of an ambulance crew."

Two crews from Rayleigh Weir and one from Great Baddow attended. 

The East of England Ambulance spokesman continued: "The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a road traffic collision on the A130 between Rettendon and Howe Green at 10.31 this morning."
